The Evergreen Chorus performed at Delta Kappa Gamma Society International's Eastern Area Conference, held at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburg, NY. We performed at both sessions of their Saturday Morning Spa - A Celebration of the Senses.
Carole Argulewicz, director of Evergreen Chorus, is a teacher and member of the Alpha chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. She presented a wonderful workshop about proper singing - using Evergreen to demonstrate the techniques! She also spoke about Sweet Adelines International and Women's Barbershop Harmony, in general. I am proud to report that according to those attending the conference, we got an "A"!
We even had an impromptu performance of Rockin' Robin by 6 of the octet members: Kathy S, Ellen G, Kath G, Pat M, Fran W and a very animated Kay V.
